Tech Convergence 2014 in Dubai
Around 250 partners from India and MEA attended the 3rd Annual Partner Conference and were awarded for their continued determination and tenacity in the dazzling
event held at the esteemed Hotel Le-Meridien, Dubai.
Tech Convergence 2014 began with a keynote speech by Mr. Ajay Singh Chauhan-CEO, Spectrum Group, who briefed the entire IT fraternity on the successful establishment of Spectrum group and its expansion plans for coming future.
“We are glad to express our gratitude to all our channel partners, whose efforts and support has led us to become one of the major player in the distribution business. We seek their endless support and determination. Spectrum believes that the ultimate strength of a distributor lies in its network. We assure all our partners that Spectrum will continue to invest in resources and create world class infrastructure to enhance customer satisfaction, generating new business and attaining better margins. This is just another milestone. It’s a long way to go ahead and we have to work together for mutual benefits,” said Ajay Singh Chuahan, CEO, Spectrum Group.
Ajay also talked about the partner program - Comguard Channel Accelerate and Comguard Commit specifically ,that will soon be implemented in MEA.
Senior Management and head of specific divisions from vendors gave presentations and shared the details on new their respective product lines.
Alex Ramanesh -Channel & Enterprise Sales Manager ,Kaspersky Lab Middle East and Turkey; Derek Jackman-Senior Regional Sales Manager, IXIA ; Pavol Golha – Regional Sales Manager, GFI and Graham McIntyre – Channel Sales Manager, GFI; Kiran Deshpande – Co-founder & President, Airtight Networks were among the key speakers.
“Such events create bonding among vendors and partners to work together towards success for common interest,” said Alex Ramanesh -Channel & Enterprise Sales Manager ,Kaspersky Lab Middle East and Turkey .
Pavol Golha – Regional Sales Manager, GFI explained the significance of the event, saying,“There are certain things that partners know, since they are the final face to customers. We are the vendors, we know about the product since we hold it first. When we make a business strategy we need input from all the sides. We need to consider every step and stage. Such events give us that opportunity to communicate and fill the gap.”
Celebrious occasion also gave the partners a strong platform to interact with vendors, exchange knowledge and gain better understanding of technology and solutions that are delivered. Channel partners felt that it was a nice push for them to have a night dedicated to the IT clan.

The event culminated with an Award Ceremony to felicitate channel partners in various categories including Most Active Partner of the year - Comguard India, Most Active Sub-Distributor of the year - Comguard, India, based on their services and achievements.
