The idea behind this creation is to woo the customers by introducing
flavors, which are unheard of in the ice-cream industry.
Nalen Guris a jaggery which is in liquid form and is made from the sap of the Date Palm or Khajurtree; which is native to West Bengal.
The sap is allowed to drip into earthen pots hung on the trunk top and is collected in early hours of the morning before sunrise, boiled in large flat pans over low heat to a thick liquid which is similar to honey in colour and consistency.
The Nalen Gur ice cream is made with this jaggery and the finished ice cream has a special crumble which gives it a taste and texture - unlike any other ice cream.
