Shyamashree elected President of ECC

Mrs Shyamashree Sen was elected as the President of Eastern Chamber of Commerce for year 2013-14.

The 66th AGM of the Eastern Chamber of Commerce was held at the Nehru Children’s Museum recently.

The newly elected president Mrs Sen is the first lady President of one of the oldest chambers in Kolkata.

She also presented her new team of
Executive Committee for the year and spelt out the plans for the forthcoming year.

A double gold medalist from Calcutta University in Political Science, she is presently Partner in Colour Me Green, a children’s book publishing house, and also a partner in Connections, a public relations agency.

A noted social activist, she is also has been associated with several forums as an office bearer in the University Women’s Association (as the past National Secretary), NIAW, Presidency Alumni Association, Rotary International.

The newly appointed office bearers of Eastern Chamber of Commerce include:

*Mrs Shyamashree Sen- President
*Mr TK Biswas- Immediate Past President
*Mr Jayanta Neogi- Hony Secretary
*Mr Angsuman Bandyopadhyay- Treasurer
*Ms Mita Mukharji- Vice President.

The AGM was preceded by a Keynote address by Dr Abhijit Sen (formerly Nicco Corporation) on “Debunking Myths about Indian Economy”.
