Sunstone goes International

Sunstone Business School is the pioneer in Problem-based Learning in India and offers a one year PGPM to Experienced Working Professionals in India and Internationally.

Sunstone Business School (www.sunstone.in) has announced that it has now accepted students from 8 major cities in India and three international students for
the fall batch of 2014. Going forward there are plans of taking the program into smaller cities in India where there is no availability of quality management education for working professionals as well as explore international markets.

“There has been a huge need for high quality management education for working professionals everywhere in India because current options. Seniorprofessionals are looking for an intense platform to build their skills and reshape their career and existing education options haven’t addressed the quality issues”- Said Mr. Rajul Garg, Director, Sunstone Business School.

From very firm convictions but a very humble beginning in 2011 with 25 students from the Delhi NCR region, Sunstone has made rapid progress in the past two years adding over 150 students in two years from all over India. Sunstone has filled a void in the space of management education for working professional with high quality, contextual education through its problem based learning approach, which is designed purely by industry.

The typical Sunstone student is a highly motivated mid-career working professional with an ambition to move into more business centric roles and add higher value to his employer as well as his clients. Sunstone students have regularly transitioned to business roles such as product management, business development, general management, consulting in technology based enterprise and consumer companies. Several alumni have also gone on to leverage their business knowledge, self-confidence and newly acquired networks to launch their own businesses.

The learning philosophy followed by Sunstone is a unique mix of online and offline interactions that help the participant learn business concepts by solving problems in a teamoften helped by a coach who typically in addition to being the course director is also a working professional.

Pankaj Garg, an alumni of Sunstone and currently a Product Manager says “The real world problem solving approach of Sunstone not only challenges you to seek information from the real people and explore the real world but also generates great fun and passion”. This approach lends itself to the learning being very practical, easy to grasp and helps retain the concept longer for application on the job later.

Dinesh Singh,Head, Student Experience mentions “We will keep expanding our reach to different geographical locations and look for candidates who are ready to come out their comfort zone and learn business in an intense community of highly motivated and aspirational students”
