The Shift Series organized youth conference

THE SHIFT SERIES in association with tGELF (The global education and leadership foundation)  organized a youth conference ‘theshiftseries@LIFE2014: LEADING THE CHANGE FROM WITHIN’

The participants EXPERIENCED, EXPLORED and ENGAGED with an eclectic mix of International and Indian speakers who inspired them to break
boundaries with innovative ideas. The talks were interspersed with cutting edge performances by renowned Kuchipudi dancer, the graceful pirouetting Bhavana Reddy and also Dhruv Visvanath who had the audience swaying to his tunes on the guitar.

The topics ranged from inspirational true-life experiences and the work the speakers have done to bring in change. Topics like social entrepreneurship, leading the change from within, manual scavenging, climate change, producer not a consumer and many other experiences were shared by the international and national speakers who are achievers in their own right.

The speaker line-up was a mix of professors teaching at IVY LEAGUE Universities, international achievers and Indian heroes such as a rock star, a visually impaired genius, a child prodigy guitarist and other Indians who have changed the way people live.

ASHIF SHAIKH- Co-founder of Jan Sahas
MALVINDER SINGH- Chairman of FORTIS healthcare
SUNIL KANT MUNJAL- Jt. Managing Director of Hero MotoCorp Ltd.
UDAY KHEMKA- Vice-Chairman of the SUN Group of companies
VANDINIKA SHUKLA- Representing India at the G(irls)20 Summit in Sydney
SOOKRIT- Developed an Artificial Intelligence based robot
BHAVANA REDDY- Indian classical dancer and singer-songwriter Kuchipudi dancing prodigy at age 7 and now singer-songwriter, her unique music blends Indian melodies with western harmony
DHRUV VISVANATH- a child prodigy

The audience attending the daylong conference was a mix of tGELF scholars studying at top Ivy League colleges, students from Delhi’s top schools as well as those from the leading undergraduate institutes.

















Attendees also included a mix of forward thinking, high achieving adults who are change-makers such as Sara Pilot,Usha Raje Scindia, Vikram Chandra, Shefalika Panda, Nitya Bharany and others.
