Accel for the third time, Ideaspring Capital for the second time have invested in Mihup Communication Pvt. Ltd; a fast evolving trusted and accurate vernacular voice interface platform.


During these trying times, these investments, reinforces investor confidence in Mihup. This, undoubtedly, marks the onset of yet another, ”Made in India”, success start up story.

A buoyant CEO and Co-Founder Tapan Barman said, “The fund-raise is going to allow us to push Mihup to greater heights and invest in areas that will be a key to our long-term vision and success, and we are thrilled to have Accel Partners continuing as our investors and welcome Ideaspring Capital as our investor partner”.

He thanked Subrata Mitra, Partner Accel and Naganand Doraswamy, Managing Director, Ideaspring Capital for being a constant source of guidance and inspiration for team Mihup.

Naganand Doraswamy, Managing Director Ideaspring Capital also harping on Mihup's capability of attracting early customers said,” Voice as a medium is seeing an increasing demand in not only consumer applications but in enterprise applications as well. Advancement in voice recognition and translation technology and the advent of language agnostic internet will drive this trend. For example, the voice recognition system market for automotive and Call Centre is projected to be the fastest growing market in Asia. We are very excited to do a follow on investment in Mihup and work with Accel again on this investment.”

Picking the thread of conversation, Co-founder,  Sandipan Chattopadhyay added, “ Voice and Video are going to define the next phase of digitization of India. For the next 500 million to be able to embrace and exploit digitization voice is the only option. We have come a long way and this funding will help us to fast forward that advantage.”

In response to how this can create a strategic advantage, Biplab Chakraborty, Co-founder & COO said, “We are excited to get this funding. This will help us to further our ambition of not only adding more Indian languages into our engine but also other languages and dialects from North America and Asia. "
