The successful inauguration of the Education Worldwide India Fair 2024 in New Delhi marked a major milestone in the direction of deepening the educational partnership between India and the Republic of Moldova . Hosted at Hotel Le Meridien, the prestigious event was inaugurated by Moldova’s Minister of
Education, Mr. Dan Perciun, who led a 15-member delegation of Rectors, Deans, and Ministry of Education representatives.At the fair, Indian students had an opportunity to interact directly with Moldovan educational institutions along with other top universities, institutions, and educational bodies from across the globe, exploring diverse academic programs and scholarship opportunities. The Moldovan delegation focused on specialties like medicine, engineering, computer science, business psychology, veterinary medicine, and the arts while highlighting the nation's high quality and cost-effective educational system.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Dan Perciun, Moldova’s Minister of Education , stated, “ We are delighted to showcase Moldova as a premier destination for higher education. The Republic of Moldova offers a harmonious blend of European educational standards, affordability, and global career opportunities. We look forward to welcoming more Indian students to our universities, where they will find a supportive academic and cultural environment. ”
The fair highlighted Moldova’s increasing appeal as a destination for Indian students, particularly in medical education, with over 2,500 Indian students currently enrolled in its programs. With more than 2,500 Indian students presently enrolled in various programs, the exhibition demonstrated Moldova's growing appeal as a study abroad destination, especially in medical education. More than 30 universities in Moldova currently offer undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in fields such as business, computer science, veterinary medicine, engineering, medicine, and the arts. With tuition fees ranging from €1,500 to €5,000 annually—significantly lower than many Western destinations—and courses available in English, French, and Romanian, Moldova has attracted over 10,000 international students, with Indian enrollments showing a consistent upward trend.
Mr. Siddharth Jain, Chief Strategy Officer of Global Ed Group , commented on the event’s success: “ The response to Moldova’s participation in the fair has been phenomenal.
