Roblox Launches Global Parent Council, Expands Community With Parent Champions Program

Roblox has launched its inaugural Global Parent Council, bringing together 80 parents and caregivers from 32 countries to advise on platform safety, policies, and products. The announcement also includes

a new Parent Champions program aimed at expanding parental engagement and strengthening online safety initiatives worldwide.

The Global Parent Council was formed after the company reviewed applications from parents and caregivers worldwide. The 80 selected members represent diverse professional backgrounds, including psychology, education, gaming, caregiving, digital well-being, and law enforcement. The council will meet quarterly and participate in monthly Q&A sessions to share regional perspectives and platform feedback.

“I am inspired by the caliber of parents who stepped forward to partner with us,” said Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov, Roblox Global Head of Parental Advocacy. “The launch of the Global Parent Council demonstrates our commitment to parental partnership, where we intend to listen and learn from these individual parents and caregivers. With their support, we will be able to better respond to parental challenges and we look forward to co-creating a safe and relevant experience for families everywhere.”

Among the appointed members is Vineeta Garg, IT Head at SRDAV Public School. Commenting on her appointment, she said, "Child safety must always come before engagement or growth. I’m joining the Roblox Parent Council to help ensure that children are protected, heard, and respected while they play, create, and connect online. ”

In response to strong interest from applicants, Roblox also introduced the Parent Champions program. Participants will receive regular updates and contribute feedback on platform developments. The company said both initiatives are part of its broader efforts to promote a safe and civil digital environment, directing parents to its Safety Center for tools such as parental controls, screen-time limits, and chat management features.

Roblox said the programs mark a continued commitment to partnering with families as it works toward building a safer and more positive online experience for children and teens globally.
