The Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad proudly hosted the International Conference on RISE 2025: Responsible Innovation for Sustainable Economy on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at its campus. The
event brought together thought leaders, industry professionals, researchers, and academicians from across the globe to explore and share insights on fostering sustainability through innovation.The day began with networking with researchers across world followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management, delivered a warm welcome to the esteemed guests.
The inaugural and theme address was delivered by Mr. Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society, setting the tone for the day. He highlighted the need for integrating ethics and responsibility in every stage of the innovation lifecycle. He emphasized that education and industry must work hand-in-hand to build a more sustainable and inclusive economy.
The Chief Guest, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Former Union Minister, shared his vision on the role of responsible innovation in driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth. He stressed that India’s digital revolution must now align with global sustainability goals. He appreciated the conference’s focus on bringing together policy, technology, and education on a common platform.
He said, “Innovation is a mindset. Today we have got the start-up movement in the space sector and the defense sector. India is the fourth largest economy and is on the way to be the third largest. The potential for innovation is huge. We look up to the country’s youth for its future.”
Prof. J. P. Pandey, Vice Chancellor of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the crucial link between technological advancement and sustainable development. He underscored the importance of academic institutions as torchbearers of responsible innovation. He urged young researchers to address real-world problems through socially conscious scientific inquiry.
The Guest of Honour, Prof. Dr. Maurits van Rooijen, Rector of the University of Europe for Applied Sciences, Germany, provided an international perspective on sustainable innovation. He proposed the idea responsible leadership through the idea of ‘LES is more’ where LES stands for Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Stewardship.
A major highlight of the inaugural session was the release of the conference Souvenir and Journal, followed by the vote of thanks by Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Advisor, Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions.
The conference featured seven parallel technical sessions—three in the morning and four in the afternoon—covering diverse thematic areas. More than 200 research papers were submitted from across disciplines, with over 100 research papers presented throughout the day in both online and offline modes.
The event concluded with a valedictory session celebrating the success of a day filled with impactful discussions, knowledge exchange, and global collaboration toward responsible and sustainable innovation.
