Schneider Electric Reimagines Switch as Ganpati’s Symbol of Blessing

Schneider Electric has unveiled a landmark Ganpati installation in Pune, transforming its electrical switches into a symbol of blessing and marking the launch of its season-long festive campaign. Inspired by Ganpati’s abhaya mudra, the installation features a blessing hand designed around the familiar form of Schneider Electric switches, accompanied by the line “Nirantar, Nirvighna Raha”.

The activation seeks to connect Schneider Electric’s Home Solutions portfolio with the festive season, when consumers increasingly renovate and upgrade their homes and consider purchases across appliances, electronics and smartphones. The company said the campaign is designed to engage consumers at the consideration stage and connect electrical and home automation solutions with their broader festive purchase journey.

The campaign extends beyond outdoor advertising, with digital touchpoints enabling consumers to discover Schneider Electric’s products and move from inspiration to consideration. Ratnesh Pandey, Vice President, Marketing, Schneider Electric India, said, “Festivals in India are moments of deep emotional connection, and we wanted to show up in a way that felt native to that moment rather than layered on top of it. The Ganpati installation takes something as familiar as a switch and reimagines it as a symbol that makes people pause and take notice. At the same time, festivities are an important moment when consumers are renovating their homes and investing in new appliances and technology. The Pune installation is the first in a series of festive expressions planned by Schneider Electric, with future iterations expected to retain the switch as a recurring cultural motif. The campaign builds on the company’s “Advancing Energy Tech” philosophy across its switches portfolio, including the premium Unica X range, highlighting innovation through not only functionality but also design, feel and everyday integration.
