To commemorate the WORLD POLIO DAY on 24th October, Priya Entertainments Pvt Ltd (PEPL) in association with Rotary Club Calcutta Metro City, part of the world's largest NGO Rotary International, shall display POLIO VACCINATION A/V in all theatres run and managed by them before each film
screening.
As part of its CSR program, PEPL for the past 2 years have been actively promoting the END POLIO NOW campaign, and also other causes on specific days as WORLD AIDS DAY & WORLD THALASSAEMIA DAY.
The campaign aims to reach a few lakh of its patrons and hopes to be a very effective awareness tool for creating and strengthening the END POLIO NOW program for regular oral vaccinations on specific days as well as at the nearest health centres.
India is expected to be declared polio free by 2014 and PEPL, one of Eastern India's leading entertainment conglomerate has taken the lead to spread the campaign towards an effective end to POLIO VIRUS afflicting and crippling children in India.
