The booth, inaugurated by Gurgaon Police
Commissioner Alok Mittal, will cater to passengers who arrive at MG Road metro station. The launch of the prepaid booth will ensure hassle free travel experience for the commuters while providing a comfortable seating environment for the staff.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Mittal, said: “We are delighted to partner with M3M India on this project. This is a great initiative, which will not only set a procedure for both auto rickshaw owners and passengers, but will also play a key role in the safety of the travelers. Passengers will not have to wait to hire an auto and they will pay at the booth as per the charges displayed on the chart.”
The prepaid booth is part of M3M’s on-going CSR initiative where the company is planning to install 20 more such booths across all metro stations in the city. The booths are typically porta-cabins, made of weather resistant material. The company also takes the responsibility to manage these facilities going forward.
