Gerdaureinstates the need for a Swacch Bharat in Tadipatri

Gerdau Steel India, the leading producer of long steel in the Americas and one of the largest suppliers of special steel in the world, extended their support to government’s “Swachh Bharath” mission byinaugurating public restrooms to provide hygienic sanitation to the residents in
Putlur road, Tadipadtri.

Putlur road, being a small and busiest place inTadipatri Town, lacked proper infrastructure for Public sanitation and this contribution by Gerdau will helpvillagers on the need for a clean environment to sustain healthy lifestyle in the community. The event was inaugurated by Shri JC Prabhakar Reddy, MLA Tadipatri. Mr Jayaprakash Devaraj, Industrial Director, Gerdau Steelswere also present to grace the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jayaprakash Deveraj said, “As part of Gerdau’s commitment to the community, various programmes are being conducted in different parts of the Mandal regularly. This programme organized in Putlur road is for providing hygienic sanitation facilities to villagers. In addition to this, Gerdau has also undertaken several community development initiatives which enable them to achieve sustainable development. They include initiatives such as providing sanitation facilities, organising medical camps, providing school kits to children, etc”
