MeitY Startup Hub and Startup Policy Forum Forge Strategic Partnership to Shape India’s Emerging Tech Landscape

MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has announced a landmark partnership with the Startup Policy Forum (SPF)—an industry-led alliance

representing India’s leading new-age companies. This strategic collaboration is set to drive greater focus and momentum around Deep Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies across India’s innovation landscape.

The broader aim of the partnership is to foster technological innovation, promote startups, and accelerate the creation of intellectual property—ultimately contributing to a vibrant, future-ready startup ecosystem. Through this collaboration, SPF seeks to support R&D, drive policy research, and facilitate knowledge exchange to advocate for progressive regulatory and policy frameworks.

As part of this strategic engagement, SPF will support MSH in conducting joint research and policy analysis and organising stakeholder engagements, outreach initiatives, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Meanwhile, MSH will amplify SPF’s initiatives across its expansive innovation network—including TIDE 2.0 Centres, incubators, and Centres of Excellence—and facilitate meaningful connections with key ecosystem stakeholders.

Speaking on the occasion, Panneerselvam Madanagopal, CEO, MeitY Startup Hub said, “At MeitY Startup Hub, we believe DeepTech, AI, and emerging technologies will drive the next wave of innovation—and India is well-positioned to lead it. This partnership with the Startup Policy Forum aligns policy, innovation, and entrepreneurship to unlock that potential. By uniting diverse expertise across sectors, we aim to create new economic opportunities and establish India as a global technology leader.”

Shweta Rajpal Kohli, President & CEO, Startup Policy Forum, added, “DeepTech, AI, and emerging technologies represent not just the next wave of innovation, but the foundation of tomorrow’s industries and societal transformation. This collaboration is about bringing the best of government support, industry experience, and startup energy together to build that future. We’re committed to building an ecosystem where technology thrives, Indian innovation sets global benchmarks, and startups shape the future of technology.”

Additionally, SPF has partnered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and IIT-Madras’s Centre for Research on Start-Ups and Risk Financing (CREST) with an aim to bridge the industry and academia gap.

Future-focused partnerships like this will be critical in shaping a resilient, innovation-first economy. Together, MSH and SPF aim to foster an ecosystem that doesn’t just respond to global trends, but sets them, making India a global hub for cutting-edge technologies that will define the decades ahead.
